Great tips, 2 has the side effect of making it easier to actually get to class most mornings and number 6 is especially important if you don’t want to suddenly find out no credit history is actually worse in some ways than bad credit history.

Great tips! I used the school’s Olympic size swimming pool each morning for free. (Now I use a “spouse card” at my husband’s current school to get access to that pool for $30 a semester.) Also, you can save on your housing costs by becoming a residential adviser. I did this for two years, getting my own room for free, and a small stipend on top of it.
