You can do an in-service withdrawal before 59 1/2 if the plan allows it. Each plan sponsor (employer) has the option to include the feature and the rules that govern the withdrawal in their plan. Most plans that allow for withdrawals restrict how often they can be made or how much can be transferred. Check with your HR Coordinator or 401k provider to find out your options.
