We’re nine days into 2009 and going strong. Did you make any new year’s resolutions? If so, how are you holding up? I’m not a big believer in resolutions. If I think it’s something I need to do or change, then I should have started a long time ago. What do you think?
It’s been a pretty crazy week market and blogging wise. I’ve had a few guest posts and some great interviews. I also have an announcement to make, but I think I’ll reserve that for another separate post. Want a hint? Okay……the clue is on the front page of my blog already. I probably made it too easy. For those of you that don’t get it yet, no frets. Be patient and I’ll disclose soon enough. On to some of my favorite posts of the week. There’s what quite of few and it was tough trying to narrow it down, but here it goes….

Budgets Are Sexy has a great breakdown showing where she spent all her money for the past year. For anyone wanting to get an idea of how to really keep a budget, you need to take a look. Where oh Where did Our Sexy Money Go
Jeremy at Gen X Finance had a good perspective on today’s economy Why the Recession will be good for us. Sometimes to have a productive future, you have to get rid of the bad apples. He adds, “People faced with difficult times learn things about themselves they may have never realized, may explore a new direction in life, or find out there is more to life than money and material things.”
Being the first year as a 1099 independent contractor, I’ve had to get used to paying estimated quarterly taxes. It was a challenge at first, but now I’m completely used to it. My Two Dollars reminds us that 4th Quarter Estimate Taxes are Due. Don’t forget to pay!
