How does making money while you watch Netflix on the couch sound? Great, right? Thanks to the Internet, there are hundreds of sites that allow you to earn money from the comfort of your own home. One of the most popular ways to earn spending money is to participate in a survey site. If you want to make some extra cash without having to deliver pizzas on the weekend, survey programs are an excellent way to do that, but which one is the best one? How do you know if the site is a scam that’s trying to still your information? Luckily, I’ve done all the dirty work for you.
Best Survey Sites
The idea behind survey sites is simple. There are thousands of business and organizations that are looking to get opinions from their customers and target audience. These sites connect those companies with consumers that are willing to fill out surveys and then get rewarded for their opinions.
Every survey site is going to be different, all of them are going to have different eligibility requirements, cash out options, and reward sizes. Additionally, some survey sites focus on an industry type, and all of the surveys are going to revolve around that particular market. It’s important that you find a survey site that is easy to use and rewards you well for your time and efforts. One of the biggest distinctions between survey sites is how you are rewarded. Some programs are going to give you a set amount of cash for every survey that you complete, while other programs are going to give you points. If they give you points, you can then use those points to purchase gift cards or different goods from their marketplace.
The problem is that PanelPayday is not like a traditional survey site. In fact, it’s nothing like the other survey sites that you’ve heard about. There are a lot of questions about the program and if it’s a scam or not. This article is going to take a deep look into PanelPayday and get the answer to those questions.
PanelPayday Background and Getting Started
The site was founded in 2006, but other than its founding date, it’s difficult to find much background information on the site (which is a serious red flag). According to the Better Business Bureau, they are headquartered in Denver, Colorado, but there is almost no information on the company that owns the site or who operates it. Once again, this is rather worrisome for anyone that is looking to join the website.
There were around 47 complaints against the website that were filed with the BBB, and all of them were resolved. There was no specific information about the complaints and what they were in regards to, but it’s comforting to know that all of them were fixed.
When you head over to the PanPayday website, you’ll notice that it’s a well-designed site that is pretty basic. There are a few menu options and a simple sign up button. Other than that, it’s a clean look that it’s straightforward. If you do a little bit of reading on the site, you may notice that it isn’t really what you were thinking.
On their homepage, if you scroll down just a tad, you will see tiny advertisements for other survey sites listed. Not only that but on the side, they have a “recent surveys” list that shows other survey sites. When I first went over to their site, I thought this was a little odd, but I charged on anyways. After signing up, I realized why everything seemed a little “off.”
If you want to join PanelPayday, it’s effortless to do. All that you have to do is answer a few simple questions and provide some basic information about yourself. The whole process can take you a few minutes, and after that, you’re going to be bombarded with spam emails, and you won’t be able to complete any surveys.
Yes, you heard me right, PanelPayday is not an actual survey site. Instead, it just gives you the list of all other survey programs on the internet. When you sign up, you can see all of the other sites that you would still have to join. Sure, having a list of possible survey sites is nice (and you can check out my best survey sites page to get the same thing without having to provide any info), but having to join a program, just to find another program to participate in is ridiculous.
Is PanelPayday a Scam?
I can’t technically say that the site is a scam. They don’t charge you anything to sign up, and it doesn’t seem as if they are going to steal any of your information, but there is no way that you can get paid through PanelPayday. If you’re looking for a list of survey programs, there are dozens of places that you can find lists without having to join.
One thing that you should note of, if you do decide to join the program (which you shouldn’t), you’re going to be flooded with spam emails from all of their advertisers. Be prepared to delete a lot of emails. It’s not a scam, but it’s not worth the three minutes that it’s going to take to fill out the sign-up form.
