As summer quickly approaches, it’s becoming one of our favorite times of the year – boating season! While we don’t own our own boat yet, we have plenty of friends and family that do, so we get all the benefits. This will be the second summer for our son enjoying the boating season with us. He’s always a little hesitant initially getting into the water, but once he does – we can’t get him out! He especially loves playing in the sand and it’s a blast watching him splash around and fill his buckets for hours on end.

I am right there with you on boating season. Just spent all day yesterday on the lake. We can’t get enough of it. We do have our own boat, of course that means we have to pay for the gas and all the maintenance, but it is worth it for the time we spend on it.

We love the boating season, but we don’t have a boat either. We have to rely on friends and family that do, and since my in-laws and brother in law both sold their boats within the last couple years that group is dwindling.
I may have to enjoy it through you this year.

Thanks for the mention! Me and my friends are still too young for boat ownership but the few times I have been on a boat it was an amazing feeling. Being away from the noise of the city, breathing in the fresh air, and being far away from land. Another reason to save money, so that we can enjoy the finer things life has to offer.

Thanks for including my post in your roundup.
I have many childhood memories of boating/skiing/wakeboarding out at the Lake of the Ozarks. That said, now there we’re in Chicago, we don’t know anyone with a boat.

One of my good friends has a boat. My favorite part of the summer every year is when I can take a 3 day weekend and go out on the Chesapeake.
A few beers. Water skiing. The life.
